Liliya readily answers Jim's question to the best of her ability, though she's not confident that she'll be much help in identifying her attackers. Her memory is a bit clouded on account of the concussion she suffered, and the bandits took pains to conceal their identities with masks and heavy clothing.
What she can tell him is this: There were four attackers, and she thinks all were men but one may have been a woman. She thinks she recognized two of the male voices, although she has trouble linking them to a specific person... Both of them work in shops in town, she recalls. One as a tailor - or, no, maybe a launderer? Something with clothes! The other she's pretty sure belongs to someone at the general store. That one was the "muscle"; he was quite strong and was able to subdue both Liliya and Yngvi with ease.
Listening in, Kovacs will note that Liliya seems entirely truthful in her recounting of the attack. Her story does eventually turn to speculation, though: She strongly suspects the cart was stolen by "those damn Zlatniki". She's already gotten into arguments with her Zlatniki-leaning neighbors about where to best direct their lumber and manpower, with the Zlatniki wanting to prioritizing the boat building efforts over restoring the town. In fact, she recently got into one such argument with fellow logger Michel. She's sure he wasn't among the attackers, but she wouldn't be surprised if he was involved somehow, too.
When the group returns to the scene of the crime, unfortunately they won't find much. It's been a few days since the attack, which happened on a main road into town. With so many tracks and footprints, it's impossible to pick out which ones belonged to the thieves. However, Liliya would tell Jim that she saw the cart heading up the road that leads to the beach, and the attackers had a couple of large packs with them, which she suspects held supplies for camping along the two-day journey.
