HIATUS

Players need only formally hiatus when they anticipate being unavailable or unable to meet the minimum activity requirements. Activity can always be posted early, and sweeps are completed on the first of the month. Players should not miss multiple consecutive activity checks due to hiatus; in extenuating circumstances, players should contact the mods.

Because no one can leave the void-world of Rubilykskoye, hiatused characters will remain on autopilot or be somehow incapacitated via any method the player invents, according to player preference. Many hiatused players have had their characters get lost in the woods/Void and lose sense of time or memory, but it's just as valid to knock a character out with a mundane illness, etc.

DROP

Characters who are dropped from the game will vanish without warning at a time when they are alone. No one in town will be able to say what became of them, but there are theories — taken into the castle, lost to the void, and so forth.

When a player drops a character, however, they also have the opportunity to elect whether this drop is permanent or not. Permanent drops make these characters' disappearances plot relevant in a way that reveals setting information, game lore, or affects the plot. Mods will decide what became of these characters and may reveal their fate down the road, which eliminates the opportunity to re-app that character with their in-game memories at a later date.

A list of dropped characters will be posted each month in state of the game posts alongside any characters swept during activity check. Players may reapply for characters they have dropped at a later date with or without their previous game memories, but the characters will have no memory of anything that took place during their absence.

Players who are dropping should comment using the form below and write DROP in the subject line:
